Do I need a UK visa?

Citizens of Mongolia need a visa to enter, or transit through the UK. If you are a national of another country, find out if you need a visa by using our Do I need a UK visa? Questionnaire.

Where can I get advice?

Our Consular & Visa Section staff cannot give you advice on how to complete your application, or what type of visa you should apply for. If you need help with your application or advice about the UK's immigration rules and requirements, you should seek advice from a qualified immigration adviser. In the UK these are immigration advisers regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner or legally qualified professionals regulated by designated professional bodies. Their websites are:

How do I submit my application?

Citizens of Mongolia should submit their applications at Consular & Visa Section of the British Embassy in Ulaanbaatar. Please ensure you apply for a visa well in advance of your planned travel. Visas applications are sent to Beijing for processing, so you should allow a minimum of 15 working days before you intend to travel. 

Nationals of other countries should apply for UK visas in the country where they are normally and legally resident.

Who decides whether I will get a visa?

UK Border Agency staff in Beijing will process and decide your visa application.
